For decades, jelly desserts have been part of culinary traditions around the world. Yet few have reached the level of elegance, artistry, and visual beauty found in Japanese jelly desserts.
With their crystal-clear transparency, vibrant colours, and the magical way they capture and reflect light, these delicate creations have become admired not only as desserts but also as miniature works of art.
At Custom Fake Cakes, we've always been fascinated by desserts that blur the line between food and design. That fascination became the inspiration behind our Jelly d'Or Collection.

The Beauty of Transparency
In Japanese confectionery, presentation is just as important as flavour.
Many traditional jelly desserts are made using agar-agar, creating a firm, crystal-clear texture that allows light, colour, and shape to become part of the experience.
Rather than simply serving as desserts, these creations are admired for their purity, elegance, and almost sculptural appearance.
Their charm lies in their simplicity—pieces that appear to capture light within them.
Our Interpretation
The Jelly d'Or Collection is not intended to recreate traditional Japanese recipes.
Instead, it is our own artistic interpretation, inspired by the refined aesthetic of Japanese jelly desserts and reimagined through the world of decorative food art and professional props.
Each piece is meticulously handcrafted to recreate the luminous crystal effect of real jelly, featuring suspended fruit that appears to float effortlessly within.
The result is a collection that preserves all the beauty of freshly made desserts while being designed to remain flawless for years.
Where Pastry Meets Design
With Jelly d'Or, our goal was to blur the boundary between dessert and decorative object.
These unique creations are ideal for:
Food photography
Window displays
Advertising campaigns
Film and television productions
Restaurants and cafés
Events and visual merchandising
Their transparency, rich colours, and interaction with light make every piece appear different depending on the viewing angle, creating a striking visual impact in any setting.
A Collection That Continues to Grow
The collection began with smaller creations inspired by classic fruit flavours, including Lemon, Cherry, Mango and Raspberry.
It has since expanded with larger statement pieces such as Ruby Jewel Jelly, where raspberries and mango appear suspended inside a deep ruby-red crystal.
Every new design follows the same philosophy: to create decorative desserts that invite curiosity and reward a second look.
When a Dessert Becomes More Than Dessert
The idea behind Jelly d'Or was remarkably simple:
What if the beauty of a jelly dessert could last forever?
The answer is a collection where craftsmanship, design, and pastry-inspired artistry come together to create decorative pieces that are made to last, inspire, and surprise.
Because some desserts are meant to be enjoyed only once.
Others are created to shine for years.
